So many of us love to knit and yet dislike to purl. So meet my gorgeous new no purl scarf knitting pattern. I named her Lisette.
One of my favorite things is when something simple fools everyone and looks super fancy. Who doesn’t love to dazzle their friends with cooking and crafting skills? If you are puzzled by that last question, you might be in the wrong place. Because here, we love to quietly impress people with our cupcakes and with our knitting. Consider this project which is even better when you realize it’s a no purl scarf knitting pattern…..
It looks super complicated and oh so fancy, and while it is impressive and squishy as all get out, it’s a great project for an advanced beginner. So you could be in your first year of knitting and still be able to make this scarf, which I’ve named Lisette.
Did I mention there’s no purling involved? Yeah. NONE. People get freaked out over purl stitches, so you won’t have to do them on this project. How’s that make you feel?
Not only did I draft this scarf into a beautiful pattern, I sized it in 3 widths and two lengths.
So you can customize it the way YOU like best. I even give you the freedom to play with the striping pattern. You don’t have to be exact with this scarf, and to me, that’s the best part of all.
Lovely Lisette can be worn long and drapey or wrapped around your neck like a cowl. And depending on your color scheme, it can be feminine and flirty or rustic and masculine. I think that’s important in knitting patterns.
Not only are there more and more men who enjoy knitting, there are ladies (and gents) who love to knit for the man in their life and it’s nice to have an option that isn’t frilly.
And like it or not, we still have plenty of winter weather ahead of us. So why not make the best of it and knit a squishy scarf to get you through? That’s my way of dealing with it. Just enjoy all the chunky yarns, and the colors and bundle up in the warmth of a hand knit. And if you still aren’t convinced….
I even created a wonderful video tutorial on this project to help you get the hang of things! The pattern itself links to all the stitches you need to know as well as this full project tutorial. So have a look at this fun scarf tutorial, and then I really do think you should get the pattern and make one for yourself. I have it available for immediate download in both my etsy and ravelry stores! You could actually make this over the weekend and wear it on the following Monday! I love a good weekend project.
