Patterns for People

Pattymac Knits knitting patterns are sold online as PDF files that are ready for instant downloads. The patterns are a minimum of 4 pages long, but you can print out only the pattern page if trying to conserve ink. Each pattern has large pictures so it's easy to see what the finished project should look like. There is also a charming story about the knit, because it's always about more than just the object. Links to online videos are included that explain knitting techniques, and extra clear instructions are included for people who have some issues reading and understanding knitting patterns. I know about that personally. So I do my best to include added information to make wading through the pattern easier. If it's something you don't need, then simply skip right to the pattern details.

Foxy Lady

You just can't go wrong with a fox ear hat! This pattern is designed to be the perfect first hat pattern. The hardest thing about making hats is getting them to fit. Gauge is crucial, and this pattern has extra instructions to help explain what that means and how to use it to create a hat that will actually fit!

Hummingbird Cake

This is a color block infinity scarf that is the perfect second knitting project for a new knitter. It's also stylish enough a seasoned person can enjoy putting it together. Infinite color combinations create a pattern that can be reknit season after season.

Celebration Scarf

This gorgeous scarf is knit from a reclaimed silk fiber that is hand spun in North India. I love using this particular fiber because the company is a small, female owned business and they pay their Indian workers a fair and living wage. They also use clothing scraps that would otherwise be thrown away. The combination creates the most magical looking yarn! No two skeins are alike, so no two projects will ever be identical either. Talk about making something special. This is perfect for a summer wedding where it's chilly in churches and reception halls or on cool evening walks on the beach. It's a fun and super easy knit, but creates the most delightful finished project.

My Little Kitten

This is a cat hat pattern written and sized for children. I include a template for making the kitten face. The yarn is all from your local store, making it easy to pick up the materials you need. I never met a child (or a mom) who didn't love this cute hat.
