Knit Without Fear

Being a new knitter and feeling frustrated by the lack of super cute and fun patterns for newbies can be so frustrating. Sometimes, it can seem like EVERYTHING is too hard. That’s no fun! And even more advanced knitters don’t necessarily want super complicated patterns that take months to complete.

People who are just learning to knit can have a tendency to approach the craft with trepidation and fear.

“What if I do something wrong?” “What if I make a mistake?”

You know what I say?

“SO WHAT? Just keep knitting!”

The best way to start is to begin. Just pick up the yarn and the needles and go. Don’t worry about how it looks, just keep going! Eventually you will catch on, and be making all kinds of great things. You simply have to be patient with yourself and the learning process. Knitting is about the the long haul. It’s a life long endeavor, and not a weekend workshop.

Knitting lessons are a lot like life lessons. It’s going to be get messy and complicated, and you will be frustrated. But have faith, develop a little patience and keep going. It does get better.
